The call for papers for a Special Edition on Ultrafast Optics is open. The deadline is Oct. 31, 2015

On behalf of the International Scientific Committee of the Ultrafast Optics conference, we are pleased to announce that the 10th conference will take place in Beijing/Huairou, China from 16 to 21 Aug. 2015. As a satellite town of Beijing, Huairou was also the conference site of the APEC Summit 2014. UFO2015 will take full advantage of the newly renovated infrastructure that wasspecially prepared for hosting international conferences.

The international UFO was first held in 1997 in Monterey, USA, and has been held on a biennial basis ever since, gathering together usually over 150 scientists and physics professionals from around the world. The purpose of this conference is to bring together the scientists working in ultrafast optical technology and science, to report on the state of the art with respect to generation, amplification, measurement, control and frequency extension of ultrafast optical pulses, to share the the future perspectives.

The scope of the UFO 2015 conference includes, but is not limited to:

Generation of atto-, femto- and picosecond optical pulses from lasers

Parametric and quantum amplifiers of ultrashort pulses

Ultrahigh peak-power laser systems and related technologies

Novel methods for shaping and measuring ultrashort pulses

Advances in nonlinear frequency conversion techniques

Few-cycle pulses, carrier-envelope phase control

Ultrashort THz pulses

Current and prospective applications requiring novel or improved ultrafast sources and technologies

Ultrafast laser applications

The paper submission system is now open. Submissions should be formatted as a 1-page summary word file, and submitted through the on line submission system of the conference website, where the word and pdf templates are available. Each prospective presenter can submit only one oral paper for which they are the presenting author.Note that the deadline for submission is extended to Apr. 27, 2015.
